Getting started

1. Open the app and pick a city.
2. Tap a tour to start it.
3. Drive the route — when you get close to a stop, audio plays automatically.
4. Lock your phone and keep driving. Narration continues hands-free.

FAQ

Why doesn't the audio play?

SOLA Tours needs "Always" location permission so narration triggers when your phone is locked. Open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → SOLA Tours → set to "Always."

Why did Apple Music go quiet during a tour?

That's intentional. When a narration plays, music ducks (gets quiet) so you can hear the story, then resumes at full volume when the narration ends.

Can I send the tour to my Tesla?

Yes — tap the "Tesla" button on any stop. iOS opens the share sheet so you can hand the destination to the Tesla app or Apple Maps.

Does the app work without a data connection?

Yes. All tour content is bundled in the app. You only need GPS — no cell signal required.

How do I resume a paused tour?

Open the app — there's a green "Resume Tour" banner on the home screen.

Can I make my own tours?

Not in this version. Tours are hand-curated for the 23 supported cities.
